This play, a modern comedy that inspires patriotism, will be repeated re-peated Saturday night at eight. Friday afternoon at two, in the college auditorium, the pictorial pic-torial arts will be featured. The speaker will be Professor B. F. Larson, head of the department of art at the Brigham Young university. uni-versity. He will talk on Utah's art heritage. The music department depart-ment of the college will furnish the assisting program. Last night at the auditorium, Joseph F. Smith, head of the department de-partment of speech of the University Uni-versity of Utah was the guest artist. He read the narrative poem, "Dauber", by John Mase-field, Mase-field, poet laureate of England. He had been sceduled to read the play, "Life With Father", but he stated he preferred to read something some-thing of real literary value on such an occasion. The poem was beautiful. It was read exceptionally well, and the listeners received a literary feast. Musical numbers were furnished by Miss Ruth Falck, Mrs. Irene Everett, Roene Bigler and Norman Nor-man Hunt. This part of the program pro-gram was also of high quality. The program tomorrow will close a three-day feast of literature, litera-ture, music and pictorial art. Hundreds have already visited the art exhibit. Those who have not seen it are invited to do so tomorrow. |
