Show Funeral Services Held At Ogden For Mrs. C. W. Lelia Death Came As a Complete Surprise Since She Seemed Seem-ed in Good Health Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Shaw Lelia who died Thursday Thurs-day morning were held in Ogden at 1 p. m., Sunday February 14. Mrs. Lelia, who appeared to be in good health, was visiting with friends Wednesday evening. About 11 p. m. she told her land lady she would take a hot bath and retire. The next morning she was found dead, apparently from heart failure. Nearly 300 friends and relatives rela-tives attended the services which were conducted by Dr. W. C. Cox, who represented the St. George West ward bishopric. Mrs. Lelia had been a member of this ward. Speakers included Bishop A. M. Ferrin, George E. Brown, Elizabeth Eliza-beth L. Cox and Arthur Wooley. The invocation was offered by Barr W. Musser and the benediction bene-diction was given by Bishop P. J. Clark. C. A. Penrod dedicated the grave. Musical numbers included in-cluded a vocal solo, "I'm a Pil-'grim", Pil-'grim", ''One Fleeting Hour", "The End of a Perfect Day" and "Going Home". There ,were present from distant dis-tant points: her husband, Chas. W. Lelia of St. George; her daughter, Mrs. Ruby Music of Los Angeles; her sister, Mrs. Zella Elgan of Oregon; Dr. W. C. and Elizabeth Cox, Mrs. Mary M. Leany and Mr. and M'rs. Barr M Musser of St. George. She was buried in ' the Ogden City cemetery. Services were held in the Lindquist mortuary. |
