Show Dixie - B. A.C. Split 2-Game Tilt; To Play Parsons Although beaten by a score of 61-3 9 Friday night, Dixie showed a reversal of form to take the second game on Saturday night from B. A. C. by a score of 45-44. Both games were played at Cedar. The score for the Saturday night game doesn't give a clear picture since Dixie held the upper up-per hand throughout, going into the last four minutes with a 33-40 lead. A' quick rally by the Branch Aggies brought them to within 1 point as Chamberlain, toward, scored a foul pitch and a few seconds later Davis, Aggie guard, dribbled up the floor and sank a beautiful long shot as the game ended. The Friday night game was clearly B. A. C.'s. Dixie took a 6-2 lead in the first quarter but were never in the battle from that point on. Westminster Here Westminster will be here this Friday and Saturday for a two-game two-game series. At the present time Dixie and Westminster ar in about the same class with both having taking several good lickings. lick-ings. While the local squad is definitely out of the race they could make it mighty interesting for some of the rest of the teams if they would play up to the ability that they show at times. |
