Show first Sunday Night Book Review Presented The opening Sunday night book viev of the season, held in the library building, drew an attendee attend-ee of more than 100 persons, state those in charge, who are pleased with the large turnout. The book, "Jappa Door", by Hope Williams Sykes, was delightfully delight-fully presented by Mrs. Gertrude jcrthur. This is an intimate 0ry of the family life of Dr. Henry Paile's mother, ( now a resident resi-dent of Provo) and her several children. There were a number in the audience for whom the book had an added flavor in the fact f their personal acquaintance with many of the characters discussed dis-cussed or presented in the story, and with some of the details listed. Sympathetic in its revelation of the history of an excellent and lovable family, the book intrigued ,he listeners throughout the evening. even-ing. Sunday, Nov. 13, is scheduled as the date' for the next book review and the several literary clubs of the city are requested to notify their members. These reviews will start promptly at 7:30 p.m. |
