Show Hurricane Lad Dies Sun. From Heart Disease Delbert J. Scow, 15, son of Mrs. Wilma Johnson Scow Syphus and Joseph A. Scow of Cedar City, died Sunday morning, October 22 of heart disease following a long illness. He was born at Hurricane March 23, 1923. A member of last year's Hurricane high school student stu-dent body, Delbert became of ill health and was unable to resume his studies this term. Possessing unusual ability as a craftsman, he made many mechanically perfect and artistically beautiful model airplanes. In the many hours he was confined to his bed he also did some remarkable wood carving. carv-ing. Until ill health detained him, Delbert was an active boy scout and L.D.S. Deacon. Ira Bradshaw of the Hur- ricane south ward on Monday at 3 p.m. in the Zion Park stake chapel. Prayers were offered by James ! Jepson and Leo K. Homer. Musical Musi-cal numbers included a vocal duet. "Jesus Lover of My Soul", by Enid and Elaine Bradshaw; two string- ! ed trio numbers, "O' Dry Those Teasr", and "End of a Perfect Day", by Mona Wilson, Elaine Bradshaw and La Donna Stevens; a male quartette, "I Need Thee Every Hour", sung by Owen Ber-gener, Ber-gener, Lafe Staheli, Karl Larson and Vernon Church. Speakers at the services were George Gibson of the Zion Park stake high council;- Richard McAllister Mc-Allister of the St. George Temple, and Bishop Bradshaw. ' The grave in the city cemetery was dedicated by Chauncey Sand-berg. Sand-berg. Delbert is survived by his mother and step-father, Alfred I Syphus, his father, his grandfather, grand-father, Jerry Johnson, of Hurri-!cane; Hurri-!cane; the following brothers, Clin-j Clin-j ton Scow of Lund, Nov.; Milton 'Scow, of Deseret; Kendall, Twain, and Thayne Scow, of Hurricane, and two sisters, Mrs. Ivan Workman Work-man and baby Annie Syphus also of Hurricane. Those from out of town who attended at-tended the funeral services, in i addition to the two half-brothers, Clinton and Milton, were: Mr. and 'Mrs. Richard McAllister and Mrs. F.lma M.
