Mr. and Mrs. David O. Stoker and family were dinner guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Anderson and family of Bountiful. Bounti-ful. ' Enjoying a delicious steak fry at American Fork canyon Tuesday Tues-day were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce I Christensen and son Dennis of I Midvale, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Christensen of Copperton and Mr. and Mrs. James Brogan of Kearns. Cpl. Kent Christensen who is stationed at Fort Ord, Calif., recently re-cently called his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Christensen, to tell them he has been promoted to sergeant. He is expected home on leave July 24 lor 30 days. A Saratoga outing was held Tuesday lor the Junior Gleaner and Gleaner girls of Copperton ited the mine Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson and family and Miss Lola Jean Hall left Saturday morning for a vacation through the southern Utah canyons. They returned home Tuesday evening after a wonderful time. W. O. Carl O. Buskness and Mrs. Buskness and daughter Carla left July 9th to return to their home in Tacoma, Wash., after a several weeks' visit with Mrs. Buskness' mother, Mrs. Jennie Erickson of Bingham. Paul McMullin was overnight guest of Johnny Johnson Friday evening, July 9th. Mrs. Bruce Christensen is visiting vis-iting with Mr. and Mrs. Angus Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. George Bolman and Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Jones of Bingham enjoyed fishing and a picnic at Big Cottonwood canyon can-yon Friday. A delightful patio party was held last Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Dclana Long for members of her 500 club. Assisting Assist-ing Mrs. Long as hostesses were Mrs. Betty Winn, Mrs. Jayne Longfellow, Miss Gwen Parker and Mrs. Ruth Goff. Others attending at-tending were Mrs. Shirley Jensen, Jen-sen, Mrs. Shirley Goff, Mrs. Vehna Blake, Mrs. JenaVee Palmer and Mrs. Maurine Nichols. Nich-ols. Mr. and Mrs. Searle Daley of Wesson, Idaho, announce the birth of a son at Preston hospital. hos-pital. The baby weighed six pounds and three ounces. The mother will be remembered as Marilyn Jean Bolton. Happy grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Bolton of Copperton. Janet Bolton returned with Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Gray to Tacoma, Wash., to help them with their packing. They will return and make their home in Magna where Mr. Gray will man age a service station. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grant entertained at a patio party for their granddaughter, Miss Claudia Clau-dia Anderson on her fourth birth day Monday, July 5th. Others attending were Claudia's father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Har-old Anderson, her brother Eddie, and sister, Kathy, all of American Amer-ican Fork. ward. Shirley Abplanalp of Bingham spent Sunday and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. George Abplanalp and family. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johnson and family, Bobbie Lee and Johnny, returned home last Friday Fri-day night from a five days' trip to Fish lake. Mr. and Mrs. Frank LaComb and family, Gary, Keith, and Sherrie, who formerly resided at 95 W. Cyprus, Copperton, are now making their home on Roosevelt street in Midvale. Here on an indefinite visit are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ball and daughter of Las Vegas, Nev. Mrs. Ball will be remembered as the former Sandra Laycock. Announcing the birth of a baby boy on July 8th at Holy Cross hospital are Mr. and Mrs. Homer McDonnell of Salt Lake City. Mrs. McDonnell will be remembered remem-bered as Miss Donna Erickson, daughter of Mrs. Jennie Erickson of Bingham. Waiting to greet her new brother is little Miss Karen McDonnell. Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson Ander-son and daughter JoAnn had as guests Monday Mrs. Anderson's nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hicks and sons, Craig and Gary of California. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ball and children, Randy and Ronda Jean, joined them for dinner. The group vis- Barbara Brown, Darlene Carpenter, Carpen-ter, Joan Downs, Kay Beckstead, Jackie Hall and Mrs. Jack Hall were among those who attended the outing at West Jordan. They all had a wonderful time and plenty to eat. Sharlene Foster had as overnight over-night guest recently Jackie Hall. The girls slept out of doors. Mrs. Audrey Jones of Tooele passed away Tuesday, July 13, in a Tooele hospital. She is a sister in law to Mrs. George Bolman Bol-man of Copperton and W. S. Jones of Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grant enjoyed fishing and a picnic at Provo canyon Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Kermith Isbell and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hansen soent Tuesday, Wednesday and I Thursday at Fish lake. I Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Long and daughters, Linda and Claudia, and niece, Heidi Fresh of California Cali-fornia visited with Mr. Long's grandmother, Mrs. T. C. Hansen of Salt Lake City. Bobbie Lee Johnson was an overnight guest of JoAnn Anderson Ander-son Friday evening, July 9. Week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grant were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fran-com Fran-com of Ogden. Mrs. Francom is a sister to Mrs. Grant. Spending the day at the beach Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Long and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Long and daughters. Leaving Wednesday for their home in California after a couple of weeks visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Long and Mr. and Mrs Stanley Long and daughters, were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fresh and family, Heidi and iRandy. Mr. and Mrs. John Muhar and children, Mitzie and Marty, formerly for-merly of Bingham, are now making mak-ing their home at 216 5th East, Copperton. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johnson visited with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Her-man Lundberg of Murray Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pollock of Bingham and Mr. and Mrs. McKay Mc-Kay Pollock and son Stevie of Magna enjoyed Monday at Salt-air. Salt-air. Later Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pollock were dinner guests of the McKay Pollocks. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Muhar and son Ronnie received word from their son and brother Eddie who is in training at the air force base in San Antonio, Texas.
