Show Enterprise Mrs. Tburesa Huntsman Reporter Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Jones and daughter, Mrs. Edward Hunt, and family spent the week end in Summit and Paragonah visiting with relatives. Mrs. Mary Ann Huntsman has returned from Pleasant Grove after two months absence. The broken leg she suffered while in Pleasant Grove is improving, but she is still unable to get around unaided. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Huntsman and son, Dennis, spent the week end visiting in Enterprise. Amistice Day program was given at the gymnasium Friday, Nov. 10, with the Aurora club and the school participating. Mr. Tobler was in charge of the following fol-lowing program: Music by the band; one minute silent tribute to the dead soldiers; prayer by Ila Terry; song, "America", by the congregation; song by the third and fourth grades; a patriotic patrio-tic pantomime by Joe Terry, Philips and June Bauer from the fifth and sixth grades; piano solo, Lena Belle Sprague; oration, "Peace", by Betty Ashdown; song, Athna Terry; reading, Dorothy Truman; response to the tributes paid to soldiers by John Day; music by band; benediction by Rosella Elliker. Mrs. Alice Lund presented Betty Ashdown with a medal for her oration on "Peace". A wedding dance was held in the gymnasium Monday night, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Elwin j Hunt. The young couple's popularity popu-larity was evidenced by the large crowd and the many beautiful presents received. Luncheon w;; served and dancing enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt will make their future home in Oxnard, Calif. |
