Show NUGGETS FOUND IN TURKEY CRAW "Golden Turkeys" is the name given them by S. S. Rosenbaum, manager of Sanitary Super Market, Mar-ket, 4622 Melrose avenue near Ardmore. And we' he mihi, for he found eight gold nugge'.s in the gizzard of one of them. From another gizzard he extracted extract-ed quartz and a small lump of silver and some colored stones. The gold nuggets were valued by a jeweler at over $7. Rosenbaum was cleaning one of a shipment of 400 turkey-; which arrived too late for the Christmas rush and . which he was preparing for the New Year's trade. The gizzard felt unusually heavy and in cutting it open he found the pure gold ntrggets. "In several other entrails we found very small gold flakes and quartz with gold and silver in them," Rosenbaum explained. "That one find makes the turkeys tur-keys worth a lot more than we are asking for them. The turkeys were raised in Southern Utah in 'a rich mining district. |
