Show VEYO Veyo, June 14. While raising a large pole up the cliffs at the Sand Cove dam last week, Richard Bowler Bow-ler and Howard Leavitt were quite badly injured. They lost control of the hoist, letting the pole fall causing the rocks also to break loose. The boys were below and directly in the path of the falling debris. They were rushed to the doctor and are getting along nicely. The recreation committee gave a dance Friday evening to raise funds for the 4th of July. Ice cream and cookies were sold and a very nice time was had. Saturday, Miss Lottie Bowler, who is in St. George under the doctor's care, took critically ill and sent for her folks. She is now on the improve im-prove Mrs. Lem S. Leavitt has returned from Ogden where she has been visiting visit-ing her daughter, Mrs. Arvil Webb. J. F. Cottam has moved to Grass valley for the summer to do dairy work. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bunker were St. George visitors Sunday, on business. |
