Smith, inspecting buildings in this district, with the view of the tastallaton of a draper, or seed cleaning equipment here. The old cotton factory at Washington and the social hall in St. George were both visited, and either of them, they reported, report-ed, would house the equipment satisfactorily. Which will be taken, ta-ken, depends upon which offers the best terms: icr lease or purchase. pur-chase. It is estimated mat the sugar beet industry here will result in the annual production of 300,000 pounds of seed annually, annual-ly, and cleaning here would be one of the important factors in production. The officials accompanied M!r. Smith on a visit to the seed plots in the district, all of which were found in good condition. The seed here, it is reported, promises prom-ises to be some of the cleanest and best in the state. |
