Show A NEW ANGLE (Reprinted from the Deseret News). O. H. Craft of Columbus, Ohio, calls attentions to a new angle of the depression. Says he: "Columbus has 50,000 people peo-ple being given assistance, which represents mbre than 10,000 families. There is an even larger number Who are on the ragged edge struggling strug-gling to keep body and soul together, hoping against what the tomorrow Will bring. "Practically all of these have hanging over their heads some old obligations that they are unable to liquidate. liq-uidate. They know that the mlinute they show any signs of coming to life, some so-called so-called finance company or collection agency with a pee-wee pee-wee attorney attached to it, is waiting to pounce upon them; for their pound of flesh. Every old account and judgment will be solicited solicit-ed for by these human torturers tor-turers and kept alive by those who feed on the business busi-ness of harrassing the impoverished im-poverished to the last ditch." f |
