A plateful of Coconut Spice Drops on the table with stewed or canned fruit makes a dessert combination that is both easy for you and acceptable to the family. Coconut Spice Drops 2 cups, sifted cake flour; V2 teaspoon tea-spoon double acting baking powder; teaspoon soda; teaspoon tea-spoon salt; teaspoon einnamon; V2 teaspoon ginger; teaspoon mace; 23 cup butter or other shortening; cup brown sugar, firmly packed; 2 eggs, unbeaten; Vi cup molasses; 2 tablespoons milk; 1 cup shredded coconut. Sift flour once, measure, add baking bak-ing powder, soda, salt, and spices, and sift together three times. Crsam butter thoroughly; add sugar gradually, creaming until light. Add eggs and beat well; then molasses. Add flour, alternately alter-nately with milk, beating well after each addition. Add coconut. Drop from teaspoon on ungreased baking bak-ing sheet and bake in moderate oven (375 F.) 10 to 12 minutes. Makes Vz dozen medium cookies.
