Show AUTO STRIKES, KILLS INFANT RICHMOND Darting into the street to kick a can. 5-year-old Macey William Pulsipher, son of J. W. and "Ann Gardner Pulsipher, Pulsiph-er, was struck by an automobile driven by Brent Villett. about 22. of Lewiston. and died while en route to the Budge Memorial hospital in Logan. Sheriff Jeff Stowell and City-Judge City-Judge Jesse P. Rich investigated the accident and reported it was purely unavoidable and no inquest in-quest would be necessary. , The accident occurred shortly before noon in front of the postoffice. Mr. Villett was driving east on Main street, and stated he noticed notic-ed several children and adults walking along the sidewalk, but paid no attention to them. Suddenly Sud-denly the Pulsipher boy darted from the sidewalk to kick at the can in the middle of thi street and it was impossible to miss him. Mr. Villett told the officers. Bystanders told the sheriff that the Villett car was not driving more than 10 miles an hour and stopped within four feet of the accident. The fron wheel of the car passed over the hoy's body. The lad was pi-ked up and tsken to ''he residence of Dr. A. C. Peter:- n. who took him to the hospital in Logan, but the boy-was boy-was dead when they arrived. The body was moved to the Linquist &- Sons Mortuary company, com-pany, where funeral arrangements are being made. Macey William Pulsipher was born at St. George. August 4. 192S. The family moved to I Richmond when Mr. Pulsipher took charge of the music department depart-ment at the North Cache high school here. The boy is survived by his parents and two brothers. Harlen Gardner and Robert Pulsipher. |
