Mr. O'Ncil stated the Legion was asking the government to construct con-struct 13,204 more beds to take care of disabled veterans. He also said the organization was favoring favor-ing a movement to secure equal compensation for veterans of all wars. In stating the Legion's stand on national defense. Mr. O'Ncil said: "We urge the building up of our navy to the provisions of th.e London Lon-don naval treaty for two reasons: First, to give proper protection to ear country, and to establish for our nation the prestige which goes with equal naval strength that will enable the United States to continue its leadership among the powers, and advance permanent peace throughout the world." |
