Show Services Held Saturday for Arnold Reef Funeral services ser were held Saturday for Arnold Reef 97 Utah newspaper pioneer and former Roosevelt City treasurer who died Tuesday in a Roosevelt hospital ARVIN BELLON conducted the services which were held at atthe atthe the Mortuary in Roosevelt Mrs Helen Larson played the prelude and postlude music In Invocation In- In Invocation vocation was given by Joseph JosephE E Dr R V Larson Larson and Paul Murphy were the speakers A musical number was sung by Jay Shields and Viola Luke The benediction was given b by Lynn Johnstun The grave at the Roosevelt Cemetery was dedicated by Ar Ar- Ar Arvin vin Bellon MR REEF was founder co-founder of the Roosevelt Standard first published in August 1914 He served as editor until 1922 lIe He was later part owner of the Duchesne Courier until the partnership was dissolves in 1925 at which time he became business manager of the My Myton ton Free Press AS AN ACTIVE member in civic affairs Mr Reff served as city treasurer in Roosevelt for many years lie He was born Aug 4 1867 in Woodsfield Ohio a son or of Fritz and Marie Reef In 1914 he moved moved ed to Utah after operating an olive ranch in California In June 1891 he married Claribel Alexander in Ohio They moved to Washington D C where Mr Reef worked for the US Government Survivors include two grand children two great grandchild ren and six great great grand grandchildren children |
