Show Little Gallery of Arts Holds I Exhibits Tours and Brid Bridge Bride e Tea The merry month of May has been ra Ia very busy time for Vernal's Little LitHe Gallery of Arts reports Mrs R W Patterson president THE EXHIBIT of Indian nil art coincided with the theme of the month forth for the Boy I Scouts so in addition to the adult visitors the Gallery has given guided tours to the following groups of young people May 4 Cub Scouts of Den I 1 Pack whose Den Mother Is ic Mrs Greg Fernandez were shown through by hostess Mrs Ted Miller May 21 the Gallery opened in the morning especially for art classes from Ashley Valley Junior High who were taken through by Miss Linda Pratt The same afternoon Cub Scouts of Den 2 Pack Den Mother Mrs Ira Gagon had the exhibit explained by Mrs Ralph Ashton May 14 Cub Scout Pack Lcd fed by Mrs Tom Grua were guided around by hostess Mrs Paul Herbst IN KEEPING with the campaign the members of Girl Scout Troop donat- donat donated donated ed their services on May 21 t to cleaning up the at the Gallery They were un un- un under der the direction of their leader Mrs George Miller and officiaLs reported they did an excellent job After working they view view- viewed viewed ed the Indian exhibit guided by Mrs R W Patterson Gallery members also did some painting and general sprucing up of the building and grounds The Indian exhibit is now over and the new exhibit will open Sunday and hang through June This is a group showing of Glasswork from the class of Professor George Dibble Mrs Robert W Pat Pat- Patterson's terson's ns n's class and art work from the junior and senior high schools THE GALLERY announces ces new hours starting June Junel l 1 until further notice It will bE willbE open on Monday Tuesday Tuesday day Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5 pm closed on Wednesdays and open Sat Sat- Saturdays Saturdays and Sundays from 1 until 5 pm The Sales Rental Gallery is open during the these hours and provides a further look at the work of local artists artiste Mrs Patterson reported that the Gallery will open by appointment at other than regular hours for groupS by calling her at or Mrs Ted Miller at Mrs Mm Patterson also asks that anyone wishing to bring bringa a group during regular Gal Gal- lery Gallery hours also make an ap- ap appointment appointment as the galLery can take only one group at a time Appointments may be made by calling Mrs Patter Patter- Patterson Patterson son or Mrs Richard Thom Thom- Thomson Thomson son at 1401 A BENEFIT Bridge party was held at the Little Gal Gal- Gallery Gallery lery of Arts Saturday The tables were decorated decorated ed with miniature bouquets of lilacs and large bouquets of lilacs were arranged in various nooks and gave the scent of spring to the air Many people commented that the unique setting of a abridge abridge bridge party in an art gal gal- lery gallery was a most charming and refreshing experience Mrs Patterson reported High score was won by Mrs Robert Seay who also won the traveling prize Second high was awarded to Mrs Allen Hartong Tl Third rd high went to Mrs Tom Baird Low was won by Mrs Mm S A Dulany Hunter High can can- canasta canasta asta prize was awarded to Mrs R H |
