descriptive words felt tile the snow flakes the wind blowing on our cheeks we looked all over the fields and the sky Then we came in inand inand and discussed the weather and began to write our poems the month of May We have lots of things planned that everyone will en en- en enjoy joy We have two girls from our room participating on the stu dent assembly May 10 They are Judy Reed and Lori Lor Ann SCHOOL LIBRARY NEWS National Library Week will willbe willbe be observed April 27 2127 Be- Be Because Because cause books are one of our greatest sources of learning We hope all the students at Todd School will read every book possible from the Lib Lib- Library Library We have many good books The Tribune tells us that Americans are spending 1 billion dollars a year for books million books or more than 4 books per person ThIs is double the sales of eight years ago We know that the right kind t of books improve our minds and help us become bet bet- better ter educated So lets let's come to the Library and find a good book to read MRS BEVELLS BEVELL'S 1ST GRADE AT Ar TODD SCHOOL In our first grade we made Easter eggs We made these eggs out of construction paper and nd doo them with rick rack buttons and cloth We also made Easter baskets and put up in our room In our gym class we have learned to jump the rope There Is not one of us who can not jump the rope now For Mothers Mother's Day we are planning to make Butterfly pin cushions We will make malce them out of with a foam bodIes They will willbe willbe be covered with wallpaper We thInk these will be nIce and our mothers will enjoy i
