Show HEALTH NEWS According to the weekly bulletin bul-letin of the state department of health, a total of 195 new cases of communicable diseases were reported in the state for the week ending June 24. Mumps led the list with a total of 74 new cases. Chicken pox was second with 32 and strep infections infec-tions was third with 25. The following is a list of all diseases reported for the week: cancer, 11; chicken pox, 32; poliomyelitis, polio-myelitis, 2; measles, 22; mumps, 74; strep infections, 25; tuberculosis, tubercu-losis, 2; whooping cough, 22; infectious in-fectious hepatitis, 1 ; gastroenteritis, gastroenter-itis, 3; infectious encephalitis, 1. j |
