Show DUP CENTENNIAL VOLUME NEARLY READY FOR PRINTERS Announcement was made this week by the officers of the Uin- Uin Uintah Uintah tah County Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pi that the Centennial history of Uintah county is now being prepared for the printers and that the handsome book will willbe willbe be ready for distribution in Aug Aug- I Aug-I August I Mrs Katie HorroC s DUP president reports that her com com- committee committee members and und DUP mem mem- members mem- mem members bers throughout the county have been gathering information inlo and past pictures for the past three months and that the material is now being organized and typed typed ed up In manuscript form She reports that anyone having Uin Uin- Uintah Uin- Uin Uintah tah county pioneer pictures to submit for publication in the book must have haw them to the com com- committee committee office in the Itte county court court- courthouse courthouse house by Saturday The book will tell the story of the Uintah county since its settlement and will be illustrated illustrated ed There will be bl several hand hand- handsome handsome some colored pictures Included included ed The book is w I to be printed by the Springville Publishing company On Mrs Horrocks committee are Mrs Jennie Weeks Mrs Merle Oaks and Mrs Thelma Brady A drive ive will begin bl immediate immediate- immediately ly to take orders for the books according to committee officers One dollar deposits will Insure the purchase of the book The price Is expected to be about 4 In order to defray delray a portion of the expense of printing the book the committee is sponsoring a dance at the Imperial Hall on February 22 The affair is book book- booked booked ed as a Centennial Ball and will feature pioneer and modern dances Patrons are encouraged to dress in and pioneer costumes |
