N Brough Funeral Services Held in Roosevelt Funeral services were held in the Roosevelt Fourth Ward Chapel recently for Cor Luella Brough who died September 25 at a Roosevelt nursing home She was 82 years years years' old at the time of her decease and had lived a Culland full Cull fulland fulland and active life liCe Mrs Brough was born August 13 1888 in Randolph to Alfred W W. and Elizabeth Snowball She grew up and was educated in in Randolph AS A young woman she studied music In Salt Lake City under Professor ProCessor John McClellen and earned her diploma to teach piano and organ Mrs Brough worked for Cor the Church as organist Corthe for Cor forthe forthe the Sunday School Stake Board It vas oas was on a stake assignment to Lyman Wyoming that she met Jesse Samuel Sam Brough They were married February 7 1910 in the Salt Lake Tem Temple le THE EARLY years of their married life liCe were were spent in Lyman where Mr Brough operated a farm Carm equipment agency In 1915 they moved to the Uintah Uin Um tah Basin where they originally settled set set- tied in the Lapoint Tridell area In 1923 they were among the first homesteaders to move into the Ouray Valley Their homestead there is is still being farmed today by their sons sons Later they established a home in in Fort Duchesne which Is also still owned by the family fam Cam ily MRS BROUGH served on the Relief Society and Sunday School ward and stake boards She also served as president president president pre pre- of of the HA and Primary organizations or or- In 1952 she was called to serve an Indian mission at Whiterocks where she and her hus husband and served for Cor two years THE BROUGH couple purchased a ahome home in Roosevelt in 1954 where they became active in in the Fourth Ward Mr Brough died April 11 1958 Many lives have been touched by Mrs Brough She continued to teach piano until two years before her death Part of oC her teaching was done at Avalon Elementary School where she instructed music several years prior to its closing MRS MRS BROUGH was a mother of 12 children one of Af whom a daughter Bennie Bonnie Bon Ben nie died as a baby Eleven sons and daughters survive her They are My Myron Myon on J J. J Fort Duchesne Mrs Albert Nellie Harris Duchesne Mrs I Wayne Wayn D D. D Donna Pickup George GeorgeK K Mrs Irs Grant Eugenia Pickup Wallace Wal Wai lace lice Dee all of oC Randlett Donald N N. Salt Lake City John G G. G Layton Richard Rich ard and Grant Gilbert L L. both of oC Vernal and Robert S S. S Rock Springs SHE IS also survived by 37 grandchildren grand children and 28 gr great great grandchildren grandchildren and three brothers Raleigh and John C C. C both oth of oC Salt Lake City and Stanley Randlett Bishop Byron Gilbert conducted the funeral services John John- G G. G Brough gave the prayer at the mortuary James E E.
