Show Juveniles Steal Guns from Local Home Part of 1200 worth of guns and hunting hunting hunt hunt- ing equipment stolen from Crom the home of Garth Batty Bally some time October 2 was recovered In Beaver by the Beaver City Police recently TWO JUVENILES were stopped in a stolen car near Beaver and found to toha ha have ve a cache of guns in their possession pos pos- session Later it was discovered that the boys had escaped from the Utah State Industrial School and that they had stolen the guns and other items from a home in Vernal The description of the home in Vernal was given to Highway Patrol dispatcher Hugh Caldwell and by process of elimination elimination elim elim- he found that the stolen items had been taken from the Garth Batty residence MR BATTY'S children reported that someone had eaten some sweet rolls which were missing on October 2 2 The Vernal Highway Patrol later called Mr Batty to check his guns Sure enough his guns were were missing Items reported missing were four hand handguns handguns handguns guns two 38 a and two 22 s two shotguns shotguns shot shot- guns and three rifles and ammunition Also taken was a deer skin jacket several several several sev sev- eral blankets and a sleeping bag all total valued at over 1250 MR BATTY was able abie to Identify all of his guns when he went to Beaver to reclaim them but is still missing some of the hunting equipment One of the juveniles is a local boy for HEM t SERVICE STRUCTURAL STEEL Is being placed at the new tire se service service vice center of Superior Tire Service Co on North Vernal Ave The new structure will add sq ft ft to the already existing building and sq ft ware ware- house addition recently completed A modern waiting room six stalls stalls' equipped with frame contact hoists and two alignment bays for front end work are In Included In- In eluded in the new service center addition |
