Show Bicentennial program at Naples aples In a salute to the Bicentennial Bicentennial Bicentennial tennial Naples Elementary 2nd and 3rd grades presented a musical program entitled I Hear A Drum This program program- program program- misical was written by Ann Barton Lynne Salisbury and Connie Thomas was published by Shawnee Press I HEAR A Drum was written to commemorate our country's birthday It begins with a song calling All t to Come and join the fight To To Live in Liberty As it progresses it asks How Do You Build A Country then The Restless Drum which relates Americas America's co constant stant change hange to better ways The final song Its a a Land Where We All Belong is a very moving song which reminds America that its it's a land for all who want to tobe tobe tobe be free The program was was presented for the school Thursday and that evening for the PTA i seven flighty seven students participated participated participated par par- with several sp speaking aking parts Uncle Sam was played by Jim Redding other speakers were Lynn Werner Da Danny ny Allen Elda Rae Atwood and Scott The students students' were under the direction of Rosa Uasa Eaton Shirley Gardiner and Jane Erickson Accompanist Accompanist Ac Ac- Oris Pope Piccolo Deb Rine and Miss Erickson on the snare drum |
