Show Historical Sod Society ety holds seminar seminarA A two day seminar for or the Daggett County Historical Society was held last week The first one was WM for Cor the Dutch John people in Dutch John October 10 The second one was at the Daggett County Courthouse on October 11 At the Dutch John meeting a member of the State Slate Historical Society demonstrated taking oral history by taping an interview with Keith Smith well-known well pioneer of this area CINDY RICE HICK who screens material for registering historical sites on the Governors Governor's committee showed a film showing sites on national state and century registers and told lold the requirements for each Jay Hammon one of oC the men from the State Historical Society encouraged people to keep diaries talk to people get their reactions to changes in communities and the effect of the wars lie He asked questions and invited comments Some interesting discussions fol fol- fol lowed During the day Friday the visitors from the State Historical Society with President Eleen T T. Williams and her husband Paul toured some of the historical sites including the Swett Ranch Jack Robinsons Robinson's Cabin Spring Creek Gap and Dutch John They especially enjoyed a visit with Keith Smith at the Jack Robinson Cabin A special program honoring Eddie Douglas son of oC Mr and Mrs Al AI Vigil was given at the Church Sunday evening Eddie will enter the mission home Saturday in preparation for Cor a year two-year mission for Cor the Church Speakers were Bishop Bomer of Reno Nevada former Cormer Bishop Dixon Christensen bishop William M M.
