| Show Five Scouts Rescued Near Cedar City Word was received by Mr and Mrs Jerome Goodrich that thata a group of five scout ex ex- ex explorers from Las Vegas were rescued Sunday morning after spending the night In a blinding bUzzard blizzard in the rugged terrain near Cedar City THEY BECAME lost Satur- Satur Saturday Saturday day while skiing and when they did not return on time to the lodge their leader Gawin Goodrich set out to find them lie He also became lost In the storm Another explorer had remain remain- remained ed behind at the lodge When Mr Goodrich did not return he became alarmed and called for help Halvor Goodrich took the six mothers of the boys to Cedar City where a searching party from Cedar City left at day break to search for the youths THEY FOUND the boys In good condition together with a pilot who had been skiing alone In the area and was lost when he met with the youths The pilot had some matches and managed to start a fire They spent the night together before being rescued Sunday morning In the meantime Mr Good Good- Goodrich rich had made his way back to the lodge during the night fol lowing a futile search for the boys His son Phillip was one of the rescued boys |
