Show Rites lick for Anna Amia Schofield Auntie MANILA Anna Schofield 84 who died Thurs Thurs- Thursday day Jan 7 in the Rock Springs hospital after two weeks final illness was buried Monday of last week in the Manila Come Come- tory tery Auntie was a real pioneer in our country She was born barn Anna Jensen in Copenhagen Denmark as near as she could remember in July 1880 and was but four I years old when she came to America Anna migrated to Id Id- Id Idaho aho with Mormon emigrants and her parents followed later She was but a young woman when she came to Granger Wyoming almost 70 years ago where she met and married Charles Phil brick Charles was a twin and with his brother Jim had been the first white child born in the South Pass City Charles step father Broncho Jim Philbrick had the distinction of saving the life of the aged when she had been deserted on the plains by her nephew Basil Anna later divorced Charles Philbrick More than fifty years ago she moved into Henrys Henry's Fork Valley and operated her own place Later she married th the late Frank Schofield For more than 25 years she has live liv ed in Green River Wyoming where her spryness and Interest in life despite advanced age had won her the admiration of the entire town She is survived by four sons John Philbrick Cheyenne Char Char- Charles les Philbrick Gillette N e I 1 s Philbrick Manila utah and Keith Barney Schofield of Cal Cal- California a three daughters Ada California Charlo t t e Petre and Pearl Zimmerman both of Green River Wyoming Funeral services were conduct ed cd at 11 nm am in Green River with graveside services at 1 pm In the Manila 1 Cemetery Anna Schofield will rest beside Mona Schofield mother of her late husband Frank Schofield |
