Show Miss Uintah Will he be Selected At Pageant to be Held fIeld Tuesday The third annual Miss Uintah County Pageant will be held on Tuesday In connection with the Uintah County Fair The contest sponsored by the 4 ll Choral Club will begin at 2 pm with a tea to be beheld beheld held In th the auditorium of the county building for the contest contest- contestants ants judges and special guests Each contestant will be person person- personally ally Interviewed during the tea teaby by the judges for poise and per per- personality THE PAGEANT will be held that evening at 8 o'clock in the High School auditorium During the pageant each contes- contes tant will appear In bathing suit evening gown and will present presenta a three to five minute talent routine Kathy Allen Miss Uintah County 1964 daughter of Mr Mfr and Mrs Floyd Allen will crown the new queen Various gifts of merchandise and cash will be presented to the new Miss Uintah County This has been donated by mer mer- mer merchants chants She will represent Uin Uin- UinI Uintah I tah Count County in the Miss Utah I State Slate Fair contest in September I Expenses for this trip will be paid by Uintah County All single girls in a h County age 17 to 27 are eligible to enter the contest JUDGING will be on the bas bas- basis basis is of talent 50 per cent beauty of face and figure 25 per cent and personality 25 per cent A beautiful trophy will be award award- awarded awarded ed to the winner of the talent division Marilyn Hacking and Lorna Pope are chairmen of the pub pub- publicity publicity and ticket sales with Mrs Henry Jr and Mrs Dan Q Price as advisors Janeen Brady Is chairman of the queens queen's gifts and with Mrs Leon Brady and Mrs Ted Williams advisors Julie Abegglen and Mary Lou Sevy are cochairmen chairmen of the contestants with Mrs Tom Se- Se Sevy Sevy vy and Mrs Louis Abegglen as advisors Debra and Helen Huff are chairmen of the tea with Mrs Jack Lent and Mrs Gerald Huff as advisors COLLEEN Brady is the chair chair- chairman chairman man of the pageant with Mrs A Alwyn Call Mrs J V Parks I Mrs Max Gentry Mrs Paul Lemon and Mrs Gerald Cald Cald- Caldwell well as advisors Judges of the contest are from Salt Lake City area and from Colorado The public is cordially Invited invited ed to attend the pageant pageant which promises to be a worthwhile evening of varied i n n- n meat ment Tickets may be purchased ed from members of the Chan Chan- at ticket booths in Ver nal and at the door the evening of the pageant |
