Show CIVIC CLUB YEAR ENDSWITH TEA New officers for the Bingham! Women's Civic Club were install- j ed at a beautifully appointed in-1 stallation tea held at the Civic Center Wednesday evening, May 12th. Mrs. Harold Kelly of Murray, president of Central District, in- j stalled the new officers who are: Mrs. Dawna Huebner, president; Mrs. Jane Kastelic, first vice i president; Mrs. Agnes Steele, ! second vice president; Mrs. Char- j lotte Murano, recording secre- tary; Mrs. Elf ie Reid, corresponding correspond-ing secretary; Mrs. Letha Ham, treasurer; and Mrs. Mabel Jen-son, Jen-son, historian. Also honored were the two mothers of the year this year Mrs. Selena Nerdin, and last year Mrs. Helen Sullenger. Each were presented a lovely corsage. After the installation ceremony Mrs. Sadie Swainston, historian, displayed and gave a report from the history book of the club's activities for the year. Mrs. Johnston announced that Sally Ann McAllister was being sponsored spon-sored to girls state by the club and that the recipients of the i nursing scholarships are Betty Bailey and Ann Christie. The tea table was beautifully decorated with spring flowers-tulips, flowers-tulips, tamarac, white lilacs, French lilacs and babys breath, arranged in a crystal bowl and pink tapers in crystal holders. Several other bouquets were a-bout a-bout the room. Mrs. MaRee Nelson Nel-son and Mrs. Ada Curtis, past presidents, poured. Background music was provided by Dale Johnston at the violin and Miss ReNee Johnston at the piano. Mrs. Nelson presented the past president's pin to Mrs. Johnston. Mrs. Clair Rasmussen, secretary secre-tary of Central District was present as were Mrs. Dana Benson Ben-son of Malad City, Idaho, former member, and Miss Shane, reporter re-porter for Kennescope. Retiring officers were hostesses hostess-es for the evening. About sixty members and guests were present. pres-ent. : O |
