require joint actions on the part of groups of farmers but the bulk of the work must be done by the individual farmer on his own farm the best opportunities for farmers during the next several years lie in continued efficient production of farm products the wise farm operator will 1 maintain farm production at full capacity but emphasize labor efficiency and control of costs 2 provide full employment for the available jabor labor force on all family commercial farms 3 strive to obtain higher fields yields per acre and per animal by y improved methods of production 4 anticipate requirements and maintain reasonable inventories of essential supplies such as feeds fertilizers pesticides and repair parts 5 use credit necessary for efficient production but pay debts as randly
