Sixth Grade The sixth graders are making a map about the things they are studying in social studies which include the English, Spanish, French and Dutch people who explored and settled in this country. The class divided in five groups each group taking turns working on the map. Third and Fourth Grade The third and fourth grades just finished studying a very interesting in-teresting subject on cotton and wool. They read material about it and decided to put what they read into a big painting. We have enjoyed reading the books Little House on the Praisie, the Little House in the Big Woods and On the Banks of jPlum Creek by Mrs. Laura In-'galls In-'galls Wilder. We wrote and told her how much we enjoyed her books and are now waiting for an answer. We made some gingerbread ging-erbread from a recipe in one of Mrs. Wilder's books. It was very good. First Grade I We are playing store so we can ! learn to count our money. We have painted some clothing to sell in our store. Kindergarten - We like to tell storie3 very much and have written some for lour school paper. : coppEitViELD : Jeanne Sanchez, Phone 465 e a Mrs. Robert Burke of Copper-field Copper-field and Mrs. Edith Booth of Provo spent Friday and Saturday Satur-day in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Booth is attending the Utah legislature. Mrs. Mary Miya and daughter Joyce Ann of Lead Mine were overnight guests Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Kawaguchi. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Birk and son Blaine spent the week end in Grantsville. Attending stake conference at Riverton Sunday, March 6 from Copperfield Sunday School were Jeanne and Madeleine Sanchez, Gladys, Ruben and Josue Lugo, John Gibson and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pantoja. P-TA NEWS A bingo and bazaar have been planned for the next Upper Bing ham P-TA meeting. Refreshments Refresh-ments of chili and sandwiches w ill be sold and some items will be auctioned. The date has been set for March 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the Copperfield school auditorium. audi-torium. UPPER BINGHAM SCHOOL School Paper March 4th was the date of the first appearance of the Upper Bingham school paper. The name was submitted by the sixth grade. It is La Estrellita, a Spanish Span-ish name meaning Little Star. The paper will be published every ev-ery month. Staff members are: |
