mistake and will cause more harm than good mr curry reminded mr murray that it was under the wheeler howard act that the acres of ceded lands were returned to the tribe and mr curry added right at a time when many white men were filing to get these lands to tests teits for gas and oil in his letter mr curry men tinned that hundreds of loans for productive purposes were made to indians under the provisions of the act he lie also asserted that under the act the tribe was able to contract for live stock and authorized to purchase ranches to be turned over to indians to use for lifetime mr curry said that mr murray had received benefits under all three of the above provisions other benefits that mr curry mentioned in his letter in regards to the wheeler howard act include tribal power to veto any sale sales or lease of tribal lands or the using of tribal monies without tribal consent end and the fact that the act makes it possible to keep lease monies and revenues locally instead ot of being sent to the treasury to be disbursed by act of congress or the secretary of the interior mr curry accused mr murray ra 0 of failing at ng to mention such things th angs as the borrowed in n
