held on august 4 5 a and ad 6 at fort ducheane Duc Due heene beene last year a total of people for aul the tb three dayi were in attendance and assurances received from the various sections ot of the basin leave no I 1 doubt that that alls nun ber will be exceeded eaxt month beginning with the first day a bugle will reveille each morning at six at 0 elects clock a band concert will follow during the breakfast hour and then the indians arrayed in ceremonial regalia will stage a parade ULI ULVI 9 0 clock the tide time will be given to visiting and en ewing of old acquaintances quain promptly at nine clock the unique classes classe of the convention will open and continue cOnt lull 1 until the noon hour the green lawns are the class rooms with the wide spreading branches ot of the cottonwood and poplar trees the roof the instructors are educators from the university ot of utah the utah agricultural college the brigham university and from other institution institutions ot of learning the pa pm j pils are farm admere ar mere lers fruit grow grower erv live stock men business men and representatives ot of every calling who seek to gain additional knowledge special classes are arranged tor for the women to attend lectures in all departments part ments ot of honie home economic act ence in the event ot of inclement weather the old barrack rooms are given over to the classed cl assels follow ing the noon repast an hour bour Is to giren given to music recreation and then the classes ere are resumed each afternoon a baseball game Is played on the field allotted to the national game teams com posed ot of white and indian players are the contestants tor for honors and as all the players plays are in practice rs good games are enjoyed by tha the thousands filling the aland and flanking ting the field on all sides aides rodeon and horse races are not a part of 0 the sports program arranged end and endorsed by the executive committee ot of the U D B I 1 C and are not permitted on or near the grounds during the sessions ses ot of the convention thel these o sports ae are not recognized as coming within the scope ot of educational and recreational IUT par poses tor for which the convention Is organized and supported it Is the determination 0 of the executive committee to permanently exclude from the convention all extraneous and detrimental tri influences tending to create ite undue rivalry and strife the IT U D I 1 C has proved the fallacy of 0 the contention that rodeos and arid borse horse races are necessary to get the crowd inhale alle the
