produced 23 more or less complete fossil sl i 1 skeletons of dinosaurs and skeletal fragments that the scientists estimate were parts of over individual dinosaurs almost from the start it has been the dream of those in close to touch u c h W with ith the quarry that one or mo more r e fossil dinosaur skeletons be exposed in bas relief in the rock wall of the quarry this has been talked of planned and waited f for or the national park service is s in n agreement gre ement with this plan and has been endeavoring to secure funds to carry out that plan early ly excavations had removed the e exposed fossil bearing formation and a huge cuthal cut had tobe to be made to remove the overburden of non fossil material this has been done and a ledge of the dinosaur fossil bearing strata 30 feet high and feet long is now exposed and waiting for ex plans for development of the quarry include construction of temporary housing facilities water f light ilasa and sewage systems for tor the me men n who will do the quarry work the exploration of the fossil bearing ledge and the reli rel lefing efing and preparation of the exposed skeleton material is ex pecked to take four years as such ch work is of necessity slow and painstaking and requires a small crew of especially trained ahro A x building KH 1 of some tyl e is to be erected to cover the ige ledge to provide protection to the word worp work i 0 30 that work can proceed on a yearlong year long iong basis and to pro the 1110 tsie priceless fossil relics of 0 the bygone by i gone age of reptiles as are uncovered this sta stage ge of
