Show report cards gain two rev revisions u i ons junior high Graduation Needs told A report card for the secondary schools has undergone two revisions during the year the committee who has been av working to refine the card for final recommend a tion to the board has consisted of junior hicks june boyd and carl johnson from alteria jr high leland rex rondo harmon harold Il Hu lUnger carl mcdaniel and electa caldwell from uintah high J C haws pearl earl shatter shaffer and lawrence lee ee from ashley valley jr high and 11 reese beese anderson and arthur C from the district office the committee recommended a uniform reporting system tem for all secondary schools that the minus and plus symbols would be eliminated A C grade would be used to identify the average student in performance and that a uniform notification of a students academic failure be sent to the parents at mid quarter junior high completion certificate junior high school students who complete the minimum state district and school requirements quire ments will receive a completion certificate which will permit them to move to the senior high school with out deficiencies failure to meet these re quire ments will necessitate tile the meeting of a review corn com who after consulting with parents ts student and studying the facts involved will decide each case on its own nerata approximately 13 such cases came before the corn com during the month of may the group took action to r advance some students adv advance e with qualifications and r to retain others many of these students failed to corn COM their credit requirements because of excessive absence some have missed as many as 88 days |
