Show mrs hullinger dead another of the old time residents both of the state and of the county has passed over the davide to the great beyond this time it is christena hullinger the beloved wife of dr it II C hullinger Hull mger who has departed this life she was in life a devoted wife and affectionate mother a lover of home a splendid neighbor and a consistent cona cons intent church meter member all who knew her entertained the highest regard for her she was one of the most unassuming perso persons s in the world yet kind and obliging to everyone her death is 13 naturally a severe blow to her aged husband as well as to her two daughters to whom she has her life particularly duding the last few years the funeral was held at the vernal ward house wednesday forenoon under the auspices of the vernal ward A very ver large number of people from all parts parta of the valley were in attendance showing the high esteem in which deceased was held elders nelson merkley S R Berin bennoon lon and president harden bennion benmon offered words of consolation and comfort to the bet bereaved rela relatives tiNes the cortege which followed the remains to their last resting place was a very large one ohe deceased was born in denmark Denmar kj jan uary ard 1843 1844 and was as left an orphan as her parents died while she vi aas as still in her early childhood hood during the year 1861 she became a convert to the doctrines of the latter day saints and in 1864 she emigrated to utah crossing the plains with an ox train but walking most of the dis dia tance from winter Qu quarters artera near florence Nebra nebraska ika to salt lake val 10 ley her marriage to dr H C If hullinger occurred on november 1869 and the result of the union was waa fh e children three of 0 whom two girls girla and a boy are dead two daughters mrs rhoda ann leo lee and miss mias sarah elul II 11 ul linger survive her the family resided at big cottonwood salt lake county until 1883 when they moved to this valley making the deceased one of thy the early settlers of the county she has haa done her part in building up a civilized community in this thia valley and her memory will ever be revered by all who have known her because of her unselfish efforts to build up a home in the wilderness |
