Show UHS graduate garners title Morgan Woodhouse, a Uintah High School graduate who wrestles for Brigham Young University, placed first in a wrestling tournament at Logan Saturday when he downed West of Northern Nor-thern Colorado, 9-4, in the 142 pound title ti-tle match. Utah State placed first in the tournament tourna-ment at 87 points and Wyoming snared second at 73:i4 counters. Brigham Young University placed third at 51 1 2 points and New Mexico nabbed fourth at 43 M points. Haddad, Colorado State, placed first at 118 pounds when he downed BYU's Anderson, 6-4, in overtime and Barrett of Boise won the 126 pound title due to a 13-2 win over Bell of Wyoming. Scriven, Weber, downed Seamans of Wyoming, 2-1, for top honors at 134 pounds arid Gasner, Wyoming, 150, nipped Campbell, Utah State, 6-5. Williams of Utah State nipped Chispparelli of Nevada-Las Vegas, 54, for first place in the 158 pound class and Ross of Utah State placed first at 167 pounds when he edged Palmer of Adams State, 4-3. Hagedorn of Utah State nabbed first place at 177 pounds on a 3-2 win over Needs of BYU. Bragg, Wyoming, won the 190 crown due to a forfeit by Schebler of Utah State. Coon of Utah State won the heavyweight title when he edged Hamilton of BYU, 4-3. |
