Show EXK!c YOURS? A Wagging Tale $25,000 Search The hunt is on for the great American dog. If you win, your "great American dog" with you or your child will appear on the front of two million dog food packages in 19S4. That, plus a S25.000 four-day four-day trip to New York and a place of honor in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, will go to the winner win-ner of a nationwide Search For the Great American Dog'". The contest, which runs through July 31, is expected to draw thousands of en- tries. Contestants will send in a picture of their dogs along with a family member plus an essay of 100 words or less telling "Why My Dog Is The Great American Dog." The contest is sponsored by Purina Dog Chow brand dog food, the world's leading lead-ing dog food. All Americans will have the opportunity to vote for the winner as the five finalists' pictures appear in a special Sunday newspaper newspa-per supplement in November. Novem-ber. , Votes will be C3st through a national 900 telephone tele-phone number. Entries must include "weight circle" proofs-of-purchase from packages of Dog Chow.
