Show Film festival to light tabernacle The Vernal Family Film Festival will light up the old Vernal Tabernacle this month with a wide variety of family movie classics. Jan. 19 is the lead-off film, "African Queen, starring Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn. Henry Fonda takes the spotlight the following night for some Steinbeck Americana as Okies move from the dust bowl of California during the Depression. Jane Darwell won an Oscar as the determined Joad family head in "Grapes of Wrath." On Jan. 21, Grace Kelly, Gary Cooper, Lloyd Bridges and Lon Chaney combine efforts for another Oscar winner, "High Noon." Jan. 23 will find Winnie the Pooh and friends delighting your family with "The Many Adventures Ad-ventures of Winnie the Pooh." Showtime is 7:30 all four nights of the Vernal Family Film Festival. Special family rates are available for single shows or the entire series. Gift Tax Changes As of Jan. 1, 1982, any transfer of assets between bet-ween husband and wife, whether it be gift or inheritance, will not be taxed. |
