The drapery for the dance hall were put up the last week. They really look neat, thanks to the interior decorator of the South-east Furniture company. Here is some big eventful news. The swimming pool will be completed in the very near future. On the night of the grand opening of the pool, the parents will Be invited to take part in the great event. I think it would be a good idea for you to come and see TEEN TALK by Norma Jean ATTENTION ALL TEEN-AGER- S: Like to dance and have loads of fun? Well come along to the dance for teen-ager- s. Oh, yes, it will be held this Saturday; the 15th at the Bingham Teen-Ag- e Club. As the matter of or-chestra, well, kids, we have that too. Clarice Bergman and her orchestra will be there. The big event will start at 8:30 and end at 11:30. Buses will leave Copperton at 8 o'clock. All be there to take part in all the fun. Teen-Ag- e club members will be admitted free. Those who do not belong to the club will be charged the usual twenty-fiv- e master of ceremonies and Mrs. Jensen was hostess. In charge of the gift room were Mrs. Flossie Raper and daughters, Mrs. La-Vo- n Stoker and Mrs. Shirley Coombs. A beautifully decorated tiered wedding cake flanked by lighted tapers centered the bride's table. Following a wedding trip to Los Angeles, Calif., the couple will reside in Salt Lake City where the roofh will continue his studies at the University of Utah. A reception honored the new-lywed- 3 in the Copperton LDS ward chapel the following even-ing, March 7. The bride greeted guests in a gown of lace and net, fashioned with mandarin collar, lace bodice and lace sleeves, and net skirt which fell to floor length. A lace cap with velvet leaf decor secur-ed her fingertip veil of sheer illusion, and she carried an or-chid surrounded by white carna-tions and pink roses. Bridal attendants were Miss Marlene Swanson, maid of honor, and Miss Sharlene Foster, Miss Joyce Dearden and Miss LaWana Pulver, bridesmaids. They were attired in pastel formals with complimenting flowers. Flower girls were Miss Margie Winn and Miss Christine Winn who wore Castel frocks and held nosegay Foster Nichols of Hollywood, Calif., performed duties of best man. Ushers were Ray Butt and Jack Jensen of Copperton and LaDon Yates and Bryan Yates of Midvale. Mothers of the couple received guests in pastel formals. Their corsages were carnations. Martin D. Jensen acted as March Wedding Miss Karen Cooley became the bride of Kenneth Wynne Foster in a ceremony performed March 6th in the Salt Lake LDS temple. The bride, who resides at 27 North State St., Salt Lake City, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Cooley of Kanosh, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Foster of Copperton are parents of the bridegroom. , LADIES BOWLING Mildred Tall and Maxine Car-ter tied for high game in regular bowling on the Gemmell club ladies bowling league Tuesday night, and high series was rolled by Shirley Susaeta. The top Jive averages are: Marion Johnson, Shirley Susaeta, Maxine Carter, Doreen Delaney and Nan Kallen. For the afternoon rites the charming bride donned a blue and white suit with blue access-ories complimented by a corsage of white rosebuds. Mrs. Hosmer Peterson was her Private funeral services were held Saturday in Mt. Calvary cemetery for twin boys, the in-fant sons of John and Elaine Mattson Diaz, who died a few hours after their birth in a Salt Lake hospital Wednesday morn-ing, March 6th. Surviving are their parents, Layton, and three grandparents, Mrs. Jennie Matt-so- n, Riverton; and Mr. and Mrs.. Leon Guzman, Bingham,, sister's only attendant. She was |
