Show Carl A. Curtis have been appointed ap-pointed by Mayor C. A. Morley as chairman and co-chairman of the local Red Cross Blood Procurement Pro-curement program for civilian defense. Mrs. Booth and Mrs. Curtis attended a meeting of regional re-gional directors Monday, June 30th at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. David C. Lyon and Major and Mrs. David Reed Lyon and children attended the Lyons family reunion held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. Edgar Lyon of Salt Lake City Wednesday Wednes-day night. The reunion was in honor of Major Lyon, just recently re-cently returned from Korea and Japan. : local notes: New officers of the Bingham Canyon and Lark Lions clubs will be installed in a joint installation in-stallation ceremony to be held at Lark on Saturday, July 19th, it was announced. There will be a Mexican dance at BCO hall on Friday, July 25. Everyone welcome. Ladies free, gents $1.00. Dancing starts at 9 p.m. Sammy Garcia's orchestra will furnish the music. Bingham volunteer firemen answered a fire alarm at 126 Carr Fork last Friday afternoon at 3:05 p.m., reported Fire Chief John J. Creedon. It was a fire on a wooden shingle roof, and slight damage was reported. Monday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross M. Cushing were Mrs. Harold Nelson Nel-son and Mrs. Scena Tracy of Salt Lake City and Mrs. William Houlton of Denver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Fenton have as house guest Mrs. Art Martin of Shoshone, .Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Whitt of Salt Lake City were Sunday visitors vis-itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Fenton. 0 The Bingham Ward Sunday School gave the program at the sacrament meeting at the church last Sunday night. The program given included the following: opening song; invocation by J. Donald Boren, second counselor to supt.; vocal solo by Carolyn Evans, accompanied by Mrs. Nora Austin; talk by Mary Raby, first counselor to supt.; girls quartet, Carolyn Evans, Toni Stewart, Mary Agnes Jacobson and Doris Abplanalp, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Austin; talk by Edna Thomas; special speaker, Rex Christianson of Salt Lake City, Navy chaplain in World War II and in the Korean conflict; remarks re-marks by Supt.
