howard being unable to attend on account of the press of business the assembly wak waa one of the most gratifying over ever held by the association thoroughly representative senta tive delegates coming from all parts parta of the state to participate great encouragement toward thu the purpose of establishing tho the propos proposed sanit orlum was given in the address of welcome by frank B cook prest i dent ot of the salt lake chamber of commerce ile he saidi that while ho was not authorized to pledge the chambers directing board to give the or backing to the enterprise ho he announced that be was ready to assume the full measure of support which a christian effort I 1 in n behalf of the state and the social body of the commonwealth so richly deserved mr air cook left no nd doubt in ill tho the minds of delegates to the convention that the salt lake chamber of commerce would amply second the off efforts orts of the utah public health association toward establishment and maintenance of an institution which gave promise of accomplishing so much of community good lion hon george albert smith chairman of tho the state sanitarium committee told the delegates that while no effort has been made anele to cocu secure re any site for the propos proposed edi institution many written offers have been received from choso who have read or heard of the movement arrangements have been made mr air smith sald sad to have a survey made as tar far as time will permit of the tu tuberculosis institution in salt lake city and county by an experienced tuberculosis worker this la Is to
