The citizens would certainly take hold of the matter and support the concern in good shape. Go ahead, gents, and let your light shine before men. Many of our leading men say that a harness and shoe shop, a drug store, barber shop and a meat market would all be paving instiVe believe tutions in our city. there is a good opening for each of the above establishments in Richmond, and also that we will have The early bird, etc them soon. The entertainment given by the city schools for the benefit of the library was well patronized and highly enjoyed. The first part of the programme consisted of songs, recitations, tableaux, pantomimes, etc. All the numbers were well performed and heartily applauded by the audience. While each one of the various exercises deserves praise, those we deem moBt worthy of special mention are the step dancing by Miss Della Hunt, tbe tableau representing the family doctor which was acted by Master Willie Z. Harris as Dr., little Miss Lynda Burnham as Mamma and a large wax doll as sick child. Many say this was the best tableau ever presented on the stage here. Another bright and pleasing feature was presented by four little girls of the primary grade; Pearl Feltman, Mary Stagg, Christabella Petty - and - Fannie Hendricks. Each of the little tots bad learned a different song, and all four sang them at the same time. The sash drill, by a class of girls under the command of Miss Lucy Merrill, also deserves mention. The entertainment closed with a two act drama entitled As An 'twasnt very hard to s-- That talkin wasnt near so loud Nor bloody a it uted to be. None of 113 hadnt much to say. It is certainly gratifying to the public to know of one concern in the land who are not afraid to be generous to thq needy and suffering. The proprietors of Dr. Kings New Discovery for Consumption, Coughs and Colds, have given away over ten million trial bottles of this great medicine; and have the satisfaction of knowing it has absolutely cured thousands of hopeless cases.
