Show BRIGHAM. Considerable excitement was caused in our quiet town a few days ago by a report which flew like lightning, to the effect that a well-developed case of small pox had been discovered in the place, and that several persons had already been exposed. One of the City Council, together with the Marshal ?? to find the individual thus afflicted. It was soon ascertained, however, that the report was without foundation further than the person had just returned from the north where there had been several cases, but had not been exposed herself. This report had the tendency to draw our attention to the matter, the trains are being watched, tramps kept out of town, and all done that can be, to prevent the loathsome disease from starting. |
