Show THE IDAHO ENTERPIRSE is fearfully and wonderfully aroused. Nobody knew that the concern could develop so much vim. An Idaho official and the editor of this paper have sinned beyond forgiveness in the eyes of the Enterprise man. In a poorly written article - made up principally of ly-words, autographical errors and misplaced punctuation marks, the ??? of the sheet published at Oxford, vents his ire. He says that the publication of a certain legal advertisement in the Logan Leader strikes him. We coincide: If does strike him where he is least able to bear the blow - in his pocket. The same cause of his anger is embraced in this. An Idaho official issued a summons to the defendants in a certain civil suit; and, as they were non-residents, he ordered publication. The summons was sent to the Logan Leader instead of the alleged Enterprise; because the official very properly deemed it advisable to have the notice published in a newspaper having general circulation in this section of the country. He did not care to order its being printed in a sheet, (simply because that sheet had an office in Idaho) which issues barely sixty-eight (68) copies and sends 50 out of that 68 to the old associates of its combined editor, compositor, and devil in Washington City. The ???? of the Enterprise - if he retains the slightest regard for truth and property, should never use the words "journalistic stupidity," except in writing his own autobiography. |
