Show THE BURGLAR CAUGHT. It will be remembered that the LEADER of March 3d gave an account of the burglarizing of the Co-op. [Cooperative] store in Providence. Suspicion rested upon a boy of sixteen named Orson Welch. On being charged with the offense, he admitted his guilt. At an investigation held last Monday before Frank Madison, Esq. [Esquire], precinct justice, in which county attorney H. K. Cranney took part, young Welch was bound over for the sum of $1,000 to await the action of the grand jury. This youthful burglar only got away with a little tobacco and two dollars in cash, so he says. |
