Show The hospitality of the citizens of St. George is so well known that the tramp fraternity, in their semi-antual perigrinatious find it to their advantage to plan a trip through our town, as they are never sent away hungry. Early Inst Sunday morning a young man called at the house of Arthur Woodbury, and although he c -uld not speak a word of . English, he made his wants known. His destitute des-titute condition and his plaintive appeals so touched the hearts of Mr. and Mis. Woodbury that they made him welcome and said he might make his homo with them as long as he wished, and as an earnest of their intentions gave him a new suit of clothes they happened to have on hand that was about the right size for him. Since the above was in type we learn that we were mistaken as to the sex of the stranger, but Arthur Arth-ur says it's all right, as he likes girls the best anyway. |
