Show "V71x-t m 3J"ooeloci- Tnere is a large field, throughout Washington county, and in faot southern Utah, that can be occupied occu-pied by a live, interesting periodical, periodi-cal, if it is properly eonducted. The news must be the first consideration consid-eration to meet tho requirements of a news-seeking portion- of the population, while those who are more interested in agricultural and horticultural pursuits, are anxious for a class of readiug that will be beneficial to their needs, and in order or-der to supply the proper matter to fill the demand, it is necessary to have a variety that will suit the different dif-ferent tastes. There are many agricultural and horticultural periodicals published that can be procured at a nominal price, but the difference in our climate cli-mate to that occupied by editors and writers who furnish the material ma-terial for such papers generally, makes thengricultural and horticultural horti-cultural departments of small value to our community. Therefore, to fill the necessary vacancy that exists in tliis part of the country, there should bo a j hearty co-opperation : of those who have the praetical experience in agricultural ag-ricultural pursuits, in aiding the local editor, by writing upsuoh experience ex-perience as best they can, andnf they are not really presentable to the reading public, let the editor make such corrections as he deems proper. We shall deem it a special favor from our agricultural and horticultural horticul-tural friends, if they will take steps that will tend to aid ns in this particular, par-ticular, we shall be pleased to furnish fur-nish all parties that give us their experiences for publication, a copy of our paper during the term of such service. |
