We sentj for a Book of Mormon for him to read. He came out to the 10 a. im' and 2 o'clock service and we went' home with him for the night, lie has read a Voice of Warning, and1 Tracts Nos. 1. and 4, as well as the Dodgers, and was greatly taken withi the conversation on the Godhead in' Tract No 4.- Wednesday,. clear and warm. Had some writing to-do, so did not do any street work. Spent the day with brother Mitchell. In the afternoon after-noon we took a walk with our host to see the railroad bridge and the ruins of Fort Craig, where the confederate con-federate army, under General Buel overpowered part of the Union army and captured the Fort called Craig, which is just north of Green River, about half a mile from Munfordiiile, Ky. It was very interesting in-teresting to see the positions held by both forces and to see the plan1 of battle rifle pits, earthworks etc.H etc. 1 Toward evening we called on the1 county clerk at his office and hadi a very pleasant chat with him.j I When we left he gave us another 1 I half dollar.- Brother Mitchell gave us a written! permit to preach in all of his preach-1 ing places, 6 in number.
