Show Wo have hel'l 265 meetings since I have been here and I have never had a man refuse me a place to preach in and have only been disturbed twice, and that only helped us up stairs. Oh, Youth of Zion! Let me urge upon you the importance of preparing yourselves to lill honorable honor-able missions in preaching the Gospel to the nations of the earth, for I bear my testimony that this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness, with evnry gift mid blessing promised the faithful and the signs follows the beleiver as they did ancient worthies. I have seen the sick healed instantly and raided from their beds of affliction to perfect health. I havj had testimony after testimony and I know that every glorious power cm le enjoyed by the righteous, if we will only live for them. Ever praying for the welfare and prosperity of Zion, and asking ask-ing the prayers of the saints, I am, respectfully, lleber C. Atkin. COIiRES PONDENC E. McComb City, Mis., Dec. 8, 1897. On April C, 1807, after bidding my friends good bye, I started on my mission to the Southern States and was appointed to labor in the state of Mississippi along with others, and 1 landed there on April 20. My laboring companion com-panion not having received the word sent him did not arrive, anil being a stranger in n strange city with but live dollars in my pocket, it took a good deal of fasting and praying to make our little spin out as far as possible. I wrote to headquarters head-quarters and finally tw elder came and two elders went with them and elder rlVce an I were S3nt to a neighboring county where we were to find them. We shouldered our grips and started, the distance being about 100 miles . through a pine woody country. Wo did not have a cent in our pocket to pay for n meal and we had began to trust iu God by this time, and not in our pocket book or rather the contents thereof and if you ever saw two who felt liko humbling themselves, we were their equals. We had a good trip and friends were raised up to help us in our needs, having good places to stay and rest at night, with plenty to eat. After five days we found elders Brown sud Coombs. 1 went with elder Brown and elder Hokes wen with elder 0 ombs.
