Show m m m Munliroom Sauce. Clean and wash about half a pound of mushrooms, put them into a saucepan with half a pint of rich sauce, white or 1 brown, with or without cream, a dust . of pepper, salt and a blade of mace, amd one ounce of butter rubbed into a table-upoonful table-upoonful of flour. Stdr a!l well together, to-gether, and put over a clear fire to stew ' until the mushrooms are tender, then ' skin and ctrain. This Fa-uce is very j good served wilh grilled steak. Masb- rooms require flow simmering, and 1 should always be well cooked before ! putting into ragouts, omelets or sauces. Woman's Home Companion. j |
