A meeting of the County Superintendents Super-intendents and faculty represented at the Southern Utah Summer School was held in the basement of the Tabernacle, J uue 6, 189G, to consider the advisability of making mak-ing the organization permanent, and to be known as the Southern Utah Normal School. Prof. George II. Brimhall acted as chairman pro tern, and Edwin Cutler secretary. On motion Supt. Beck was elected elect-ed president and George Dodds secretary. It was moved by Supt. Beck to continue the organiza ion and make it permanent and motion prevailed, and the following officers were sustained: sus-tained: Levi N. Harmon was elected 1st vice president, Jacob Magleby 2nd vice president, Henry Leigh treasurer, treas-urer, B. Cluff principal, George A. Brimhall assistant principal. Secretary Sec-retary authorized to take steps to secure the co-operation of Millard, Sevier, Piute and Wayne counties. Adjourned subject to call of president.
